If the NFuse Classic end user pages are moved from their default location in IIS, the site fails to function.

The NFuse Classic 1.7 user pages require special Metabase settings in IIS, which are applied during installation. If the Web pages are later copied to a new location or a new virtual site, the Metabase settings are lost and NFuse Classic 1.7 fails to function.

No error message is returned; users see a blank white page at Redirect.asp instead of the NFuse logon page.

To resolve this issue, either reinstall NFuse Classic 1.7 in the desired location or use the VBScript tool NFuseMetabaseFix.vbs described below. Use this tool to apply the necessary settings to any virtual path on your Web server.

NFuseMetabaseFix.vbs

To use the tool:

1. Click the file above to download NFuse17MetabaseFix.zip.

2. Extract the file NFuseMetabaseFix.vbs from the zip file on to the NFuse Web server.

3. Run this command from a command prompt on the Web server:

    cscript NFuseMetabaseFix.vbs virtual-directory, where virtual-directory is the new location of the NFuse site beneath the Web server document root.

For example:

cscript NFuseMetabaseFix.vbs /Citrix/NFuse17

Note: By default, the tool operates on the default Web site (W3SVC instance 1). To modify Metabase settings for a different instance, edit the getIISObject function near the end of the script:

function getIISObject(path)

location = "IIS://localhost/W3SVC/1/ROOT" & path

Set getIISObject = GetObject(location)

end function

For example, to make the changes in the third listed virtual site instead of the first default site, edit the script to point to W3SVC instance 3 as follows:

function getIISObject(path)

location = "IIS://localhost/W3SVC/3/ROOT" & path

Set getIISObject = GetObject(location)

end function
